Prospective Parents
Learn More About Our School
We would love to send you more information about our school. Fill out our contact form and be on the lookout for an email with important links and documents.
We hope to see you for a one-on-one tour at your campus choice! See the facility, ask all your questions, and hear more about our school. Tours are available during school hours.
Come to our next information meeting! This is a great meeting where you'll really get to know our school and the heart of our administrators. We recommend it for interested families.
Parent's Required Meetings and On-Campus Duties
We depend on our parents each campus day! Parents serving at the school not only helps the school run more efficiently, but it also helps keep our tuition costs low. We are proud to offer some of the lowest tuition costs in the Knoxville area!
Rotation Duty
Once a month, one parent will volunteer their time at school. Parents help in the office, at PE, or in the nursery, depending on the needs of the school. This is a great opportunity for our parents to get to know the school, adminstrators, teachers, and other parents! Our families love rotation, but if 5 hours, once a month is not possible, families can opt out for $500 per year. In turn, we will pay another parent to work in your place.
Committee Duty
River's Edge has nearly 30 committees on which our parents serve. Most commonly, committees help plan, organize, and facilitate events. Other committees have varying responsibilities, such as yearbook (planning, creating, and publishing), photography, hands and feet (set up or break down of events), admissions interviews, and admissions tour guides! Committees range in involvement and time committment, but each year, parents have a first-come, first-served opportunity to sign up for their favorite or most fitting committee. Parents who cannot commit to committee duty may opt out for $350 per year.
Meetings
In addition to rotation and committee duties, we ask parents to attend Parent In-Service in August to establish expectations and keep the RECA family up-to-date.
