Why do Families Choose RECA?
Christ, character, and excellence—these are at the heart of everything we do at River’s Edge Christian Academy. Our goal is more than just high grades. We aim to cultivate lifelong learners who know God, think deeply, lead boldly, and serve others well. With our university-structured schedule, personalized attention, and Christ-centered worldview, every student has what they need to thrive.
WHY ARE WE DIFFERENT?
Parent Partnership
We believe parents are the most important educators in a child’s life. You know your child best—and your role in their learning and spiritual growth is irreplaceable. Our mission is to come alongside you, providing the hybrid structure, guidance, and resources you need to help your student thrive. At RECA, parents don’t hand education over to the school; instead, we walk together as partners to shape both hearts and minds for God’s purposes.
Together, in God’s Word
Our goal is to come alongside families as a guide, weaving Scripture into every subject and every school day. Assisting parents in helping their students connect what they learn in class and at home with how they live out their faith in the world. By grounding academics and relationships in God’s Word and reinforcing what is taught at home, we equip students to see life through His truth.
Partnering With Families Through Hybrid Education
Why we aren't quite a homeschool co-op
At River’s Edge Christian Academy, we are not a homeschool co-op — we are a fully accredited hybrid Christian school that partners with parents to provide a structured, Christ-centered education. While our hybrid model shares some values with hybrid homeschooling, such as parental involvement and flexible learning, our program offers certified teachers, established curriculum oversight, and a consistent academic schedule.
Families choose RECA because they want the partnership of a school community that combines the best of both worlds: the personal investment of home education and the accountability, excellence, and biblical foundation of a Christian school.
