River's Edge Christian Academy

River's Edge Christian Academy is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and is approved as a Home School Satellite Program. River's Edge CA is recognized by the State of Tennessee as an approved non-public school (Category IV-Church - Related School).

Parents enrolling children in River's Edge CA operate under Home-schooling Option III, as described by Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), and recognized by the State of Tennessee in the Jeter Memorandum in 1999. Parents may enroll their children in a church - related school while providing instruction at home. Parents are designated as non-paid faculty members of the school and the home is considered an extension of the church-related school. Under this option, home school regulations do not apply because the State of Tennessee considers this private education rather than home-schooling.

Parents who enroll their children in River's Edge CA are considered associate teachers or co-teachers and are required to read, sign, and comply with the responsibilities of the associate teacher as outlined in our Associate Teacher Agreement.

Campus Tours

Tours of River’s Edge Christian Academy are scheduled by appointment for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 9:00 and 11:30 a.m. Tours may be scheduled by calling the school office at 865.693.6779.
